Author of twelve consecutive New York Times best-sellers and respected philanthropist David Baldacci was the inaugural speaker for the Virginia Writers Association Distinquished Author Series held March 7, 2007, at the Lyceum in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia:

Following his talk on "Life Between the Pages," David signed his latest book, The Collectors. Also, attendees at this event donated dozens of new and used books for David's Feeding Body and Mind program. These books will be distributed to people receiving emergency food assistance from local food bank networks.
